Hi,  I am the proud owner and skilled esthetician behind Sami Jo Skincare. Although I initially pursued a career in animation and attended school in Orange County with the hopes of working for Dreamworks or Pixar, I found that college was not the right fit me. Despite my love for art and creativity, I felt burnt out. I spent over a decade working in the service industry, which I thoroughly enjoyed due to my outgoing nature and love for being around people. I felt that the next step was to work in corporate america to survive. For the first time I felt miserable and stuck at work.  

I eventually realized  that I needed to find a career that truly fulfilled me. It wasn't until I moved back to San Diego with my husband that I was inspired by my best friend to pursue a career in esthetics. I have always known that I wanted to work with my hands and help people feel great about themselves, and becoming an esthetician allowed me to do just that. After completing my education, I started my own business, Sami Jo Skincare, and I have never looked back since.
